Seoul = Yonhap News, Reporter Dae-ho Lee – Renowned Korean light featherweight champion and university hospital pediatrician Seo Ryeo-kyung, popularly known as “Doctor Doctor Active Boxer,” is gearing up to make her mark on the international boxing stage.

The Korea Boxing Commission (KBM) recently announced that Seo Ryeo-kyung will face off against Kulatida Kuesanol of Thailand at the Human Resource Development Center Gymnasium in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do on the 9th of next month.

Seo Ryeo-kyung boasts a commendable record of 6 wins (4 KO) and 1 draw out of 7 fights, while her opponent, Kulatida Cuesanol, holds a record of 6 wins (2 KO) and 1 loss out of 7 fights.

Having claimed the Korean championship title after a decisive 8th round KO victory over Lim Chan-mi in July, Seo Ryeo-kyung is now eyeing a shot at the Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) world bantamweight title match in Incheon next February, followed by a potential challenge for one of the world’s four major organization titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province in April.

KBM expressed, “Seo Ryeo-kyung’s ultimate aspiration is to become the first domestic boxer to hold unified titles across the four major boxing organizations.”

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Dae-ho Lee = Korea Boxing Commission (KBM) Korean light featherweight champion Seo Ryeo-kyung (32, Cheonan Beat Son Jeong-oh Boxing), who works as a professor in the Department of Pediatrics in university hospital, fighting a prelude to become the top of the world.

KBM announced that Seo Ryeo-kyung will play against Kulatida Kuesanol (Thailand) at the Human Resource Development Center Gymnasium in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do on the 9th of next month.

Seo Ryeo-kyung’s overall record is 6 wins (4 KO) and 1 draw out of 7 fights, while Culatida Cuesanol has 6 wins (2 KO) and 1 loss out of 7 fights.

Last July, Seo Ryeo-kyung earned an 8th round KO victory over Lim Chan-mi as a practicing doctor and became the Korean champion.

If she wins this preliminary bout, she will face a Japanese athlete in Incheon next February for the Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) world bantamweight title match.

Next, in April, the plan is to challenge for one of the world’s four major organization titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
