On the 9th, the KBO officially announced, “Umpire Won Hyun-sik, who was caught in a police operation driving drunk, was suspended for one year.”
Referee Won Hyun-sik, who recently lost his mother, was caught in a drunk driving campaign while on condolence leave and fell under the criteria for license revocation, under Article 151 of the KBO Rules. [품위손상행위]Accordingly, he is subject to a one-year ban.
