Court of Appeal Judge Slots Attract High Interest
The JSC received ninety-four applications for the fifteen vacant judge positions at the Court of Appeal. This indicates a robust pool of qualified candidates eager to serve at the appellate level, a crucial tier in Kenya’s judicial system.
High Court and Specialized Courts See Considerable applications

High Court: 376 applications were submitted for twenty vacant High Court judge posts.
Habitat and Land Court: The JSC received 242 applications for ten judge slots within the Environment and Land Court, underscoring the importance of specialized judicial expertise in these areas.
Magistrates: A substantial 1,714 applications were received for one hundred Magistrate positions, demonstrating a strong pipeline of candidates for frontline judicial roles.
