Kenyon Alston, a standout wide receiver from Orlando, Fla., has reaffirmed his commitment to the University of Illinois, canceling a planned visit to Michigan. Alston, who committed to illinois in January, spent the weekend in Champaign for his official visit.
alston, a rising senior at Bishop Moore High School, had scheduled an official visit to Michigan. However, he has decided to remain “locked in with ILL,” focusing on training for his final high school season. The Illinois Fighting Illini are solidifying their recruiting class with Alston’s continued commitment.
The visit to Illinois was a success, according to Alston. He highlighted the camaraderie among the commits and current players. Fellow Orlando native and future Illinois quarterback Michael Clayton also attended the visit.
Alston expressed gratitude for the numerous offers he received from over 30 programs. He is relieved to have the recruiting process behind him as he prepares for his final high school season. He already holds Bishop Moore High School’s records for career and single-season receiving yards and touchdowns.
“The weekend was fire,” Alston said. “We enjoyed it a lot. The best part was meeting up with the other commits and hanging out. It was cool talking to and being with the older players too. the brotherhood is real.”
