Thiruvananthapuram: The government has directed the universities to postpone all the examinations till October 23 due to the warning of heavy rains in the state.

The order of the Disaster Management Department to grant leave to colleges up to 23 is applicable to all professional colleges, including engineering and polytechnic colleges, and other educational institutions under the Department of Higher Education.

As per the order, the colleges will be open only on the 25th. However, the order also directed that this should continue in the colleges where admission process is currently underway.

Calicut University has postponed its exams from October 20 to 23. Exams from 25 onwards will be held unchanged. The revised timetable for the postponed exams will be announced later. C.C. Babu informed.
