THiruvananthapuram : Omicron for 48 more people in the state (Omicron Covid Variant) Confirmed. Kozhikode 12, Ernakulam 9, Thrissur 7, Thiruvananthapuram 6, Kottayam 4, Malappuram 2, Kollam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Palakkad and Wayanad one each. In addition, 3 Tamil Nadu nationals from the UAE were also affected by Omicron.
Of those diagnosed, 33 came from low-risk countries and 2 from high-risk countries. Omicron was infected through contact with 9 people. Eight persons from Kozhikode and one from Kottayam contracted the disease through contact. Three from Thrissur and one from Kollam are from other states.
