Khadarita was a revolutionary. PT THOMAS. He was a leader who, despite living as a loyal Congressman, was reluctant to accept even the party. PT has always been like that in life. From the time he joined KSU, PT’s movement has been firmly entrenched. His own love and marriage were similarly revolutionary. He fell in love with a non-Muslim woman and when religion came to the fore, he called her and continued her journey till her death. That love transcended the barriers of caste and religion.

The famous Maharaja’s College witnessed that love. It was there that PT met Uma for the first time. The love affair between PT Thomas, a Christian boy, and Uma, a member of a Brahmin family, was eventful.

It was politics that brought PT and Uma closer. At that time he was the state leader of KSU. Uma is an active member of KSU in Maharaja’s. Uma fell in love with a Christian boy and the family could not contain her. There were problems at Uma’s house. But PT decided to take Uma’s hand and move on.

PT called home and told his mother about the love affair. But her mother insisted that no matter who she married, the wedding should take place in the church. Then try for it. It was then that he realized that according to canon law, if a person became a Christian, he could get married in a church. With this, PT started trying for it. First the bishop was called. He did not agree.

But Father George Kunnamkot of St. George Forna Church, Kothamangalam, agreed to perform the marriage of PT and Uma. On the wedding day, PT took Uma to Vayalar Ravi’s house. PT called Uma’s house and told her not to look for her daughter and that she would be safe with him.

Benny Behanan, Varghese George Pallikkara, Jayaprasad, KT at Vayalar Ravi’s house. And Joseph. Vayalar Ravi’s wife Mercy Ravi wore a sari and Uma was ready to be the bride. At the Kothamangalam church, PT tied Uma’s necklace. PT’s family members in Idukki were present at the wedding. In later life he lived as PT Pt and Uma Uma. They had two sons, the eldest son Vishnu. Keeping in mind his love for Swami Vivekananda, PT named his youngest son Vivek. Finally, PT said goodbye, leaving Uma alone forever.
