Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon attended the VIP screening of ‘Kim Dae-jung on the Road’ held at CGV in Yongsan, Seoul on the afternoon of the 18th, watched the movie, and said, “It was a time when I was moved to recall the President’s convictions, national philosophy, and patriotism.”
Governor Kim said this in a post posted on his Instagram that day, introducing an article reminiscing about his first meeting with the late former President Kim Dae-jung.
Governor Kim recalled, “When I was Director of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, I worked as an assistant to the Chief of Staff at the Blue House. Late at night on the first day of work, I was alone in the office when the phone rang and I answered it and it was the President.”

Governor Kim then wrote, “It turns out that the phone was the president’s direct line,” and “I remember my first meeting with the late President Kim Dae-jung as a trembling phone call that day.”
He said, “I gather myself by recalling once again the convictions and philosophy of former President Kim Dae-jung.”
‘Kim Dae-jung on the Road’ is a joint production between Myung Film and Cinema 6411, and is a film about the life of politician Kim Dae-jung. It is scheduled to be released in theaters from January 10 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of President Kim Dae-jung on January 6 next year. Prior to the official release, preview screenings will be held across the country.
