Kochi: The DJMC World No. 7 Series Middleweight Boxing Championship, featuring prominent boxing stars, will be held in Kochi in August. 10 title boxing matches including seven professional bouts and three amateur bouts will be held at the Kadavantra Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium.
In a ceremony held in Kochi, Chairman of DJMC and WBC Care East Middle and Sri Lankan Ambassador to the World Boxing Council Dunstan Paul Rosario announced the championship. Hannah Gabriel, WBC Women’s World Heavyweight Champion, Agron Smakiki World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Melbourne DJMC Number 6 Series Boxing Champion and CEO of KS Title Boxing Club. Vinod, Boxing Coach Green Donald, National Sports Mission Chairman Nedumonkav Gopalakrishnan, State President Shiju Mathew and others were present.
Joshmi, who does boxing training, received boxing gloves from Hanna Gabriel and Titan Boxing Club Trainer Shanavas, a student, as part of promoting boxing training among children.
