Konami Unveils New Rhythm Game “DDR World” in Latest Installment of Dance Dance Revolution Series

Dance Dance Revolution, better known in Korea by its abbreviated name DDR, is the latest installment in the rhythm game series. This is a new work released about two years after the arcade-only A3, which was released as a 20th anniversary plane.

Today (July 7), Konami first announced its new work “Dance Dance Revolution World (hereinafter referred to as DDR World)” and released a teaser page containing pre-event information. DDR World is a rhythm game that can be enjoyed by 1-2 people, like the existing DDR series. Currently, only the official logo of DDR World and two images of male and female characters have been introduced, and detailed information about the game, such as the exact schedule of operations, has not been disclosed.

DDR is one of the titles in Konami’s rhythm game series “BEMANI”. It is a series that has been very popular in Korea since its first release in 1998 thanks to its easy and simple gameplay where you go up the panel by following the arrow. Although it went through a painful period in the past where the development of new games was stopped due to a sharp decline in the number of users, it is currently being developed in both arcade and home versions, maintaining a long history that has lasted longer . 20 years old. The latest arcade game currently in operation is DDR A3, while the latest home game is DDR Grand Prix.

B1 posters and Earmu Pass cards were introduced as commemorative items for the DDR World announcement on the teaser page, but this event was disappointing as only Japanese residents could participate. As the title suggests, more information about Konami’s new work “DDR World”, which will expand its influence through global development, will be available on the official website in the future.
