KSRTC Bus Rams Five Autorickshaws, Injuring Three Car Drivers in Pathanamthitta Accident

In a shocking incident in Paranthal Junction, Pathanamthitta, a KSRTC express passenger bus on its way from Eratupetta to Thiruvananthapuram collided with five autorickshaws, leaving three car drivers injured. The accident occurred on Sunday morning around 11 o’clock.

An eyewitness recounted the incident, stating that a man had signaled the bus to stop, but the driver seemed unable to control the vehicle, resulting in it veering towards the stationary autorickshaws.

The car drivers, who were parked nearby, quickly realized the impending danger as the bus crashed into the first car. Reacting swiftly, they managed to escape the collision and fled the scene. Unfortunately, three drivers named Krishnakumar, Ashokan, and Sajimon sustained severe injuries in the process. Initially admitted to a private hospital in Pandalam, they were later transferred to a taluk hospital for further treatment.

The accident left all five cars involved extensively damaged. An official investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of this unfortunate incident.

Pathanamthitta: KSRTC out of control in Parantal. The bus rammed five autorickshaws. Three car drivers were injured in the incident. The accident took place at Paranthal Junction in Pathanamthitta. The accident was an express passenger bus going from Eratupetta to Thiruvananthapuram. The accident happened around eleven o’clock on Sunday morning.

One of the eyewitnesses said that a man waved at the bus and when the driver tried to stop, he was unable to do so. He added that after this, the bus was rushing towards the stopped auto rickshaws.

Drivers in the cars were parked. After the bus hit the first car, others got down and ran away. Car drivers Krishnakumar, Ashokan and Sajimon were seriously injured. They were first shifted to a private hospital in Pandalam and later to a taluk hospital. All five cars were badly damaged. An investigation will be conducted into the cause of the accident.
