The NC Dinos have designated infielder Yoon Jun-hyuk as a compensation player following outfielder Choi Won-jun’s move to the KT Wiz as a free agent. This transaction was announced on December 3, 2025.
Player Profile: Yoon Jun-hyuk
Yoon Jun-hyuk, a right-handed infielder born in 2001, was originally drafted by the KT Wiz in the fourth round (32nd overall) of the 2020 KBO League rookie draft. He completed his mandatory military service on active duty before joining the Dinos.
Prior to the trade,Yoon Jun-hyuk spent important time in the Futures League,appearing in 273 games and maintaining a .261 batting average. He also saw limited action in the KBO League’s first team, participating in 28 games during the 2025 season where he recorded one hit in 17 at-bats for a .059 average.

NC Dinos General Manager Lim Seon-nam highlighted Yoon Jun-hyuk’s potential, noting his “excellent pitching vision and contact ability.” lim believes Yoon possesses the tools to develop into a productive hitter with adequate bat speed and power.
While primarily a third baseman,Yoon has demonstrated versatility,having played shortstop since his military discharge in 2024 and exhibiting potential to play the outfield. Lim anticipates yoon will contribute across all facets of the game – offense,defence,and base running – strengthening the team’s overall performance.
