Kuwait City | Decision to verify the degree certificates of natives and foreigners working in the government sector in Kuwait. The action was taken because many fake university degree certificates were discovered during the inspection carried out in the last few days. The certificates of expatriates working in government agencies will be checked regardless of their period of service.
Those over 60, holders of secondary school certificates from private schools and those who have recently completed a university degree will be included. Apart from checking certificates, practical and theory tests will also be conducted for graduates such as engineering. The exams are held in conjunction with the Kuwait Society of Engineers. During the inspection carried out last month, fake degree certificates obtained in the name of Egyptian universities were seized from 142 natives.
With the connivance of some employees of the Kuwait Cultural Office in Egypt, they got hold of the fake degree certificates. Further investigation revealed that an Egyptian citizen working in Kuwait paid 500 dinars each and provided fake certificates.They also found that Tan was helping them.
