The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death of Ken Urker, 34, after responding to a residence in Raceland, Louisiana, where he was found dead upon arrival, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, Urker’s ex-fiancée, described him as “an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved” in a statement to People magazine. She alleged online harassment contributed to his death, saying, “The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure.” Urker’s sister, Autumn Urker, disputed claims that Blanchard raised the alarm, stating her brother had split from Blanchard weeks before his death and that his death was an “accident.”
Death Confirmed in Raceland Residence
The sheriff’s office reported responding to a call at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, to 107 Double H Drive, Lot 4, where Urker was found dead. A police report obtained by Page Six noted the presence of syringes, a brown powdery substance, and a holstered handgun beside his bed. The cause of death has not been officially released, though The Sun cited police records listing the incident as an “overdose.”

Urker and Blanchard Reunited Before Splitting Again
Urker and Blanchard first connected in 2017 after he watched the documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest, which chronicled her role in her mother’s murder. They became engaged in 2018 but split in 2019. Blanchard later married Ryan Anderson in 2022, but the couple separated in 2024. They reunited with Urker, and the pair welcomed a daughter, Aurora, in December 2024. A source told Page Six that the couple quietly ended their relationship a month before his death, though they remained in touch about their child.
After a brief split, the couple reunited in August 2019.
Sister’s Account of Last Words
Autumn Urker shared her brother’s final words to her before his death, stating he said, “I love you.” She described him as a “great man” who “tried to love the broken.” Blanchard, meanwhile, said her last message to Urker was a “Happy Birthday” text and expressed concern when he did not respond, prompting a welfare check. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death but did not specify the exact time of death or final cause.
Autumn recalled, “‘I love you’ — it just… That’s how we hang up the phone, you know, we say that we love each other.” “My brother was a great man. “He was the kind of man that believed without demanding proof.”

Urker Struggled with Mental Health Before Breakup
A source close to the pair told Page Six that Urker had been struggling with his mental health in the months leading up to his death. “His mentality of mental health wasn’t good for the past few months,” the source said. “We all just wanted him to kind of get better and see if he would get some therapy.” “They officially broke up about a month ago, but then they were living apart for about two months,” the source said. “They both just amicably, a month ago, said let’s just leave it here, have our space, and see where we’re at.”
