SUZUKA of “New School Leaders” Reveals Shocking True Self on “Shabekuri 007”
SUZUKA, the 22-year-old vocalist of the female group “New School Leaders,” made a surprising revelation about her past on Nippon Television’s “Shabekuri 007” on September 23rd.
During the program, SUZUKA and her co-stars took a trip down memory lane by looking through an album that compiled information about her upbringing.
MC Ueda Shinya asked SUZUKA about a comment attached to a photo of her at 11 years old, which read, “‘You failed the comedy audition. Too bad for you’…what does that mean?”
SUZUKA revealed that she had once auditioned to be a comedian, saying, “I didn’t like dancing seriously and was always just messing around, so someone from the (dance) school asked me, ‘There’s an audition for comedians, do you want to go?’ I said, ‘I’d love to try,’ and so I tried out for an audition just once.”
As a child, SUZUKA had a passion for comedy and even participated in a show with her “best friend,” performing a surreal comedy routine while wearing high-waisted gym clothes.
“There was a video audition and I passed, but then it was time to actually perform in front of an audience at the competition…and then I was eliminated,” SUZUKA recalled, surprising her co-stars.
