Leave Taiwan another country! Honduras announces ties with China Don’t be afraid of money trap warnings.

Ms Sierra Castro de Zelaya, the President of Honduras announced on Wednesday (March 15) that she would restart relations with China.

This announcement means that Honduras will end its official diplomatic relations with Taiwan. according to the One China Policy China does not allow countries with diplomatic relations to make friends with Taiwan. Because China only sees Taiwan as part of the country. not a nation with any independence

Not only that cutting off ties with Taiwan, unlike what he announced in January 2022 that he would be able to maintain ties with Taiwan

This move caused Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express great concern. and urged Honduras to reconsider carefully and not fall into China’s “trap”.

“Taiwan is a sincere and reliable partner. Our country has always been helping Honduras to develop its nation to the best of its ability. But China’s only goal with Honduras is to limit Taiwan’s international presence. China has no real intention to cooperate. for the benefit of the people of Honduras.”

With the exception of Honduras, Taiwan will be left with only 13 countries that have official diplomatic relations as follows.

• Tufalw
• Vatican City
• Nauru
• Belize
• Palau
• Paraguay
• Marshall Islands
• Eswatini

The announcement came before President Tsai Ing-wen’s trip to two Central American countries in April, namely Guatemala and Belize.

Ms Tsai will visit the United States. to meet Mr. Kevin McCarthy, the new Speaker of the US House of Representatives caused great discontent in China

Mr. Xi Jinping, President of China made the comments during a meeting of the Chinese People’s Congress several days ago. which has guaranteed Mr. Xi to a third term as the country’s head of state and will put heavy pressure on Taiwan separatists. and will do everything possible to include Taiwan as an integral part of China. by focusing on peaceful means first but did not stop using force if necessary.
