Lee Jae-myeong Declares General Election as Clash Between Anti-People Forces and People – April 10 is Judgment Day

Lee Jae-myeong, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said: “This general election is not a clash between the People Power Party and the Democratic Party of Korea, but a clash between the anti-people forces and the people,” and added , “April 10 is Judgment Day.”

Representative Lee held an emergency press conference at the National Assembly this afternoon and said: “What kind of state affairs has this administration conducted, which has called for the rule of law and fairness?”

Regarding former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop, who has been appointed ambassador to Australia and is leaving the country, Representative Lee said: “To prevent a repeat of the unjust death of a Marine corporal, it is essential to find out the truth and punish the person responsible,” and added, “He replaced the defense secretary to avoid the push for impeachment, and ended up serving overseas.” He criticized: “They have been hijacked.”

He further stated that, regarding the People Power Party, “rather than taking responsibility for the failure of the state administration, they are making ‘rogue appointments’ paving the way for the appointment of those responsible,” and “this in itself is a statement of war against the people.”

Rep. Lee, who mentioned People Power Party candidates one by one, including former Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-cheol and former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation Won Hee-ryong, said said: “Awarding awards with letters of appointment to those who are responsible for the errors of the state administration is a shameless plan to continue managing state affairs in this way.“Statement,” he stressed.

Regarding the Democratic Party’s nomination, he said: “We cannot ignore the spirit of the times of generational and personnel turnover” and “if Okdongja is to be born, pain is inevitable.”
