Actor Lee Min-woo confesses the story of his sudden departure from the entertainment industry five years ago.
Lee Min-woo appeared on Channel A’s ‘Mom’s Travel Go Doo-shim’, which aired on the night of the 28th, and admitted that he had a 5-year hiatus.
According to the production team, Lee Min-woo, who was a child actor and celebrated his 42nd year of debut, said, “I gave up everything for 5 years” and “felt like I was falling pieces” when asked about his current situation.
Lee Min-woo admitted, “Since I was 5 years old, I have never taken a break for more than a month and have been going back and forth to and from filming sites. When I was in school, I couldn’t go on picnic.”
He continued, “There is a process that people have to go through since childhood, and that experience is the basis of life, but I was in the world of adulthood without experiencing it.”
In response, senior actor Ko Doo-shim sympathized with him, saying, “I’m a natural-born actor with a sensitive sensibility.
Lee Min-woo made his debut in the 1981 drama ‘500 Years of the Joseon Dynasty’ as a young Danjong. In the past, he mainly appeared in historical dramas, but since the 2010s, he has also appeared in modern dramas. In 2017, he took a break for 5 years after ‘The Sun in the Sky’, and returned last year with ‘Little Women’.
