More than 4.2 million Togolese went to the polls this Monday to elect their deputies and regional advisors, a double vote which took place peacefully, with no incidents reported.
“The trends in the provisional results will be announced by the CENI during election night, as they are transmitted by the various CELIs,” reported Dago Yabre (President of the CENI) in a press release made public this Monday in Lomé .
The president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) informs candidates, stakeholders and the population that these trends will be announced through TVT, New World TV, Radio Lomé and Radio Kara.
Remember that a total of 113 deputies and 179 regional councilors will be elected during the double ballot. And this is the first time that Togo is organizing regional elections. END
