A 53-year-old suspect is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly driving a car into a crowd celebrating the Liverpool Football club’s premier League victory on Monday.the incident, which occurred on Water Street during the victory parade, resulted in numerous injuries.
Merseyside Police reported that 65 people sustained injuries in the attack. As of Tuesday, 11 individuals remained hospitalized, all in stable condition. The police are investigating the incident as a case of reckless driving and are exploring the possibility that the suspect was under the influence of drugs.

Authorities stated that a traffic management plan was in place for the parade,but Water Street was briefly opened to allow an ambulance to respond to a medical emergency. Police believe the suspect then drove into the crowd behind the ambulance.
Dave Kitchin, with the Northwest Ambulance Service, said crews found multiple injured people, including four trapped under the vehicle. Three adults and one child were rescued. Twenty people received on-site treatment for minor injuries.
