López Obrador assures that the US delivered all the recordings regarding the Ayotzinapa case

The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, referred this Monday, September 18, 2023, to the Ayotzinapa case, specifically the recordings related to the disappearance of the 43 normalistas in 2014.

According to the president, the United States government facilitated the recordings of the Guerreros Unidos criminal group, related to the disappearance of the studentswhich are already analyzed to determine responsibilities.

In this context, López Obrador pointed out that, Based on these recordings, arrest warrants have already been issued. Likewise, he revealed that he will meet with the parents of the 43 Ayotzinapa normal students. for the first time since the departure of the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI) last July.

After the departure of the so-called GIEI, the parents of the normalistas had requested the presence of the Mexican president to detail what will happen with the investigations, since there was uncertainty that the case would be abandoned.
