At the event, about 50 key officials, including Chairman Koo, LS E-Mobility Solutions CEO Kim Won-il and LS E-Mobility Solutions Mexico Corporation President Yoo Seung-woo, attended the event.

According to LS Electric, Durango is a city in northern Mexico that has advantages in production and logistics when establishing a localization strategy in North America. The Durango LS E-Mobility Solutions factory has a total floor area of ​​35,000 m2 and has the capacity to produce 5 million EV transmissions and 4 million BDUs (Battery Disconnect Units).

The Durango plant is the first overseas factory built by LS E-Mobility Solutions after its physical spin-off from LS Electric in April 2022. In particular, LS E-Mobility Solutions has secured its third production base following Cheongju in North Province Chungcheong and Wuxi in China through the completion of the Durango plant.

LS e-Mobility Solutions has confirmed its partnerships with the Big 3 automakers in North America, including Ford and Stellantis, and expanded its EV and BDU (Battery Disconnect Unit) production lines through additional investments, with sales expected to reach KRW 700 billion. in North America and sales across the company by 2030. The strategy is to achieve 1.2 trillion won.
