Malayalam News – Will it be the next legend of Indian athletics? Shailee Singh wins silver at the Under-20 Athletics Championships News18 Kerala, Sports Latest Malayalam News

Long jumper Shailee Singh was spotted with a dazzling performance at the Under-20 World Athletics Championships in Kenya. There, she jumped 6.59 meters and finished second, losing one place by one centimeter. Anju Bobby George, an Indian athletics legend, said at the time that the silver medalist style would surpass her records.

Style is training in the long jump under the guidance of Anju Bobby George. Anju and her husband, Robert Bobby George, recognized and nurtured Styley’s talent when she was 14 years old. Anju has said that she feels that Shailee will break her record.

Who is Shailee Singh?

Born in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Shail has only one mother and one sister. The mother, Vinitha, earns her living by sewing for her and her daughters. Style used to take part in sports at her school, including running. She attended a trial first in Jhansi and then at the KD Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow. From there she was selected as part of the Lucknow Sports Hostel.

In 2017, Style competed in the Under-14 Long Jump at the Junior Nationals in Vijayawada. Style finished fifth with a jump of 4.64 meters.

The diversion of style

Robert noticed Styley’s performance in the Junior Nationals and talked to Anju about her. What Robert liked about the style was her determination and confidence. At the time, Anju and Robert felt that Shayla was lagging behind because she did not have enough muscle. Then the first thing they did was to give her proper nutrition. Only then did they begin their efforts to elevate the techniques of her jump.

Initially, Anju and Robert were unsure whether Shaili would leave her country and come to Bangalore. But Style and her mother were very enthusiastic. Shailee’s mother borrowed money for her purpose and flew back from Lucknow to Bangalore. It was their first flight.

She had not received any further training before Anju and Robert trained Style. So Anju and Robert got a new athlete through style. For the past three years Robert and Anju have been trying to develop her basics and speed. She plans to increase her training weight only after Shayli turns 18.

One year after moving to Bangalore, he broke the Under-16 national record style by jumping 5.94m at the Junior Nationals in Ranchi in November 2018.

When Kovid interrupted the training of junior athletes, Anju, Robert, Shailee and seven others were taken home to Bangalore. They then built a long jump pit in their home for the training of these children.

This year’s Junior Nationals was the result of hard work with this determination. His junior national record of 6.48 meters shocked the country. Since then, Style has twice won a silver medal for the country, excelling twice at the Under-20 World Athletics Championships in Nairobi, Kenya.
