The Namyangju North Police Station announced on the 9th that it had confirmed that the driver, a man in his twenties, was admitted to a hospital in Namyangju.
Mr A reportedly told the police: “I got out of the car immediately after the accident, but I was embarrassed by the sudden situation and felt hurt, so I came to the hospital by myself.”
He famously denied drink driving.
The police are investigating Mr A’s movements and whereabouts before and after the accident.
Previously, at around 1:40 am on the 8th, a BMW vehicle hit a truck in front from behind on the national highway in Pyeongnae-dong, Namyangju.
Following the accident, the driver of the truck was injured and the BMW vehicle caught fire and 119 teams were sent to put out the fire.
When the police and fire brigade arrived at the scene, Mr. A, the owner and driver of the vehicle, was not present at the scene, so the police asked where he was.
