Cochin : Amazon Prime Video is coming with huge releases on Vishu Day on April 15th. Tovino Thomas’s Naradhan and Shane Nigam’s Veil are more than the Malayalam superstars in the ODT market. With these releases, Sony Live aims to break the stereotype of Amazon Prime Video.
Some unconfirmed social reports suggest that Sony is going to challenge Amazon with the release of mega star Mammootty’s movie. According to those reports, Sony Live is all set to release the mega star’s Worm movie live on April 15th.

Earlier, Anihara had said that the film, which will be produced by Dulquer Salman, will be released through Sony Live. But Sony Live has not officially announced that the film will be released.
On April 1, Mammootty’s Bhishma Parvam will hit another Disney Plus platform, Disney Plus Hotstar. As the Telugu film RRR was making waves in the theaters of Kerala, Bhishma lost that dominance. Following this, the cast and crew decided to release the film in Odit.

Earlier, it was reported that Bhishma Vishu would be released and aired on ODT. However, the OTT platform later announced that the film would be released on April 1 on Hotstar. This is an indication that the release of the worm will take place on April 15, the day of Vishu.
Worm also has the distinction of being the first Mammootty film to be released directly on ODT. The film is produced by Dulquer Salman’s production company Waferer Films and Mammootty’s make-up artist S George. It was learned from the teaser of the film that Mammootty is coming as a character with a negative shade.

There are two opinions about Mammootty’s negative shade. One actor plays the role of a pedophile who sexually abuses a child. Second, some of the fans expect him to take on the role of a cruel father (Toxic Parenting).
Directed by newcomer Ratheena, the film is scripted by Harshad and Sufas Sharaf. Music is by Jacques Bijoy. Theni Ishwar handles the camera.
