Tragic Start to New Year as Pedestrian Fatally Hit on 110 Freeway

A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on the northbound 110 freeway early Wednesday morning,casting a somber shadow over the start of the new year in Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 5:20 a.m. near the Wilshire Boulevard exit, just outside downtown.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was wearing only undershorts when he walked from the freeway’s right shoulder into the center divider.He was then struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene shortly after the accident. the identity of the victim has not yet been released.
