On Line 1 the presence of a person on the line was the reason, while on Line 5 it was due to excesses in the street.

Almost simultaneously, when it was around 1:00 p.m., Riots in the vicinity of the Pedrero station, on Line 5, forced it to close.
Then another five stations were added to the measure: Viewpoint, San Joaquin, Bellavista de La Florida, Camino Agrícola and Carlos Valdovinos.
After almost a couple of hours, Metro de Santiago informed through social networks of the normalization of the service and the opening of all the stations of the network.

From the Metropolitan Mobility Network it was confirmed that in those hours transport was reinforced with support buses.
In particular, Line 1 was reinforced with buses from El Golf to Los Dominicos: 401-405-405c-406-407-412-418-421-426-C01-C01c-C02.
