Cowboys Legend Michael Irvin Predicts Super Bowl Run for Dallas

– Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is expressing renewed optimism about his former team’s chances of competing for a Super Bowl title.

Irvin recently had dinner with Brian Schottenheimer, the soon-to-be second-year head coach of the Cowboys, and voiced his approval of the direction the team is heading. “I love what he’s done with the offense, ’cause we found the offense. Now, we just got to solidify and make sure it gets more consistent. And being able to put up 30, 35 points a game,” Irvin said, according to a report from Fox News Digital.

The Cowboys, who last won a Super Bowl in 1996, have struggled to return to championship form in the decades since. However, Irvin believes recent acquisitions will bolster both sides of the ball. He specifically highlighted the impact of Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark joining the defensive line, stating, “Now, with Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark up the middle, dude, we got a force coming up the middle of the field. We gotta solidify that defense.”

Irvin boldly predicted the Cowboys will be contenders next season. “The Cowboys can be in this game next year. We could be sitting here talking about the Cowboys in this game next year, and I want you to find me and make sure you say to me, ‘You said this. You said, Michael, you said, they could be here.’ They will be here. I want you to find me.”

In March of 2025, Irvin also predicted the Cincinnati Bengals would make a Super Bowl run in the 2025 season, according to EssentiallySports.com. He also sent a strong message to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott around that same time.

Irvin also applauded Jimmy Johnson’s recent induction into the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor, believing it lifted a long-standing “curse” that had plagued the team, as reported by FirstSportz.com. Following a narrow victory against the Detroit Lions in week 16, the Cowboys improved to an 11-5 season record and clinched a playoff berth.

On Thanksgiving of 2025, Irvin expressed his belief that the Cowboys’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs marked the beginning of a Super Bowl run for Dallas, as seen on a YouTube clip from November 2025.

As of today, February 5, 2026, Hard Rock Bet has the Dallas Cowboys at 40-1 odds to win the championship next season.
