Microsoft, AI security tool “Security Copilot” using GPT-4-PC Watch

On the 28th (local time), Microsoft announced a security analysis tool “Microsoft Security Copilot” that uses the OpenAI natural language model “GPT-4”. It is currently in private preview and not yet available to the public.

The company provides security-related solutions such as “Sentinel”, “Purview”, “Sentinel”, “Priva”, “Entra”, and “Intune”, but they require advanced skills to make full use of them . In addition, the increasing number of cyber security threats has exacerbated the problem of lack of skills or personnel in security teams.

Security Copilot uses GPT-4 large language model technology and existing Microsoft solutions and security insights to address this issue. Similar to the previously announced Copilot product, you can ask questions (prompts) in natural language to perform various suggestions and actions.

How Safety Copilot works

The ability to respond quickly to security threats within the enterprise

For example, it instantly responds to questions like, “What are the most common security threats?” and offers protective measures. The answer can be shared immediately within the company.

Additionally, in the unlikely event that a security incident occurs, reverse engineering can be performed, and a flowchart can be used to determine which path the intrusion took and which devices were affected, and which countermeasures can be taken in order of priority. Should be done first. You can also put it together in PowerPoint and use it as a document.

Currently, it is assumed that it will be used in conjunction with Microsoft’s security solution, but in the future it will be possible to work with third-party security tools.
