On April 4th local time, Microsoft announced the new Xbox controller “Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition”. Priced at $84.99, it will be available globally on April 18th. Use in Japan has not been determined (at the time of publication of this article).
Ecological controller “Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition” released
“Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition” is a controller developed from an ecological point of view while considering the global environment to commemorate Earth Day on April 22.
A third of the main body buildings are made from crushed plastic/resin materials such as CDs, car headlight covers, and water jugs, and recycled as molding material. Furthermore, by reusing parts from existing Xbox controllers, we have developed a controller that has less impact on the global environment.
The controller’s design is inspired by natural scenery and the physical world, with a ground texture pattern inspired by Earth’s dynamic landscape on the bumper, triggers and side grips, and the Xbox buttons, DY padding and r use of vibrant green colored front cases inspired by the lichens of the Pacific Northwest region.
The controller also comes with a rechargeable Xbox battery that eliminates the need for disposable batteries and can be recharged for up to 30 hours for longer gameplay. Additionally, you can customize the button mapping using the Xbox Accessories app, and it can be used on PCs and mobile devices other than Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11.
The Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition is available for pre-order worldwide for $84.99. The release date is April 18. As the release in Japan has not been decided, we plan to update this article as soon as there is further news.
