On February 27, Polish law enforcement officers detained Ukrayinska Pravda journalist Mikhail Tkach along with a cameraman near the Polish-Belarus border. The publication reports that they were filming material about the transit of products between Poland and Russia and Belarus.

“At the border of Poland with Belarus, Polish police officers approached us and showed us their badge. We showed our documents and journalist IDs. They began to grab our cameras and search them… Then they brought us to the commandant’s office. About 10 people began to search our car, they threw our things on the hood, took all the memory cards from the cameras, took away all the phones and documents,” Tkach said, according to the UP, noting that “the Poles partially deleted the footage.”
