Conditions for social security entitlement
-The applicant must be of Saudi nationality.
-Excluding the children of a widow or divorced woman married to a non-Saudi.
-Permanent residency in the Kingdom.
-Complete the requirements of the Ministry of Human Resources to provide health and educational services.
-Commitment to training and employment programs for capable family members.
-The applicant’s income must be less than the estimated minimum per capita income, which is 1,100 riyals for families and 550 riyals for an individual.
-Fulfilling all requirements related to health and educational services.
-The applicant does not own any expensive property or financial assets.
Increase the minimum security pension
According to the amendments approved last October, the minimum calculated social security pension was increased by 20 percent for the breadwinner, to a maximum of 5,000 riyals per family.
After the increase, the social security pension for the breadwinner became 1,320 riyals instead of 1,100 riyals, and for the dependent, it became 660 riyals instead of 550 riyals.
The increase includes all eligible family members, not exceeding the maximum per-family pension set at 5,000 riyals.
The increase was applied automatically to all beneficiaries, without the beneficiary having to take any action.
Increasing the prohibition limit for security pension
In light of this increase in the value of the social security pension, the prohibitive limit was increased to 1,320 riyals, for each independent individual, and when exceeding it, the citizen is prevented from spending social security support.

Verdun – the prohibitive limit is 1980 riyals
3 individuals – the prohibitive limit is 2640 riyals
4 individuals – the prohibitive limit is 3,300 riyals
What is the method of registering for Social Security?
