Held at the Hotel Julio César within the framework of International Adolescent Unintended Pregnancy Prevention Week, the event brought together health workers from across the province’s six sanitary zones.
Coordinating Rights-Based Reproductive Health Care
The gathering aimed to update local practitioners, share field experiences, and consolidate a networked approach to guarantee accessible and rights-respecting reproductive health services. According to the Provincial Program for Sexual Health and Responsible Procreation, equipping medical and administrative staff with updated tools remains critical for improving community access to care.
Participants reviewed operational strategies concerning contraceptive provision, patient counseling, and methods to prevent unintended adolescent pregnancies. The workshops also focused on tightening referral and care pathways within the public health network to ensure patients move smoothly between different levels of medical attention.

The sessions drew an interdisciplinary crowd of professionals from all six health zones in Misiones. Attendees included specialists in gynecology, obstetrics, general medicine, and psychology, alongside pharmacy staff, administrative workers, and community health agents.
