Made in 1952… perfect condition
Baseball Card Highest Price Challenge

A baseball card (pictured) of Mickey Mantle, one of the legendary hitters of the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball, is expected to sell for an all-time high of $10 million (about 13.1 billion won).

The Associated Press predicted that on the morning of the 26th (Korean time), a mantle baseball card would be sold at an auction for an all-time high of $10 million. This card was produced by Topps in 1952, and shows the mantle draping a bat over his shoulder and staring into the distance. The card also includes Mantle’s autograph. The card is in perfect condition, almost like new. Baseball cards are divided into grades 1 to 10 according to their preservation status (PSA), and the closer to 10, the better the card is evaluated. The card at the auction was rated 9.5. The most recently sold 1952 Mantle Card, Level 9 in Preservation, was priced at $5.2 million.

The auction started at $4.2 million (5.5 billion won) and has now risen to $4.7 million (6.1 billion won). The auction ends on August 25th. The highest price ever for a baseball card was a Honus Wagner card produced in 1909, which sold at an auction in August of last year for an all-time high of $6.6 million (8.6 billion won). The current owner, who bought the card for $50,000 (65 million won) at an auction in New York State in 1991, is expected to make more than 200 times the profit.

Mantle played for the New York Yankees from 1951 to 1968, leading them to seven World Series championships. Mantle had a career batting average of .298 with 2415 hits and 536 home runs. Mantle is called the greatest switch hitter in MLB history, and has three American League MVPs (1956, 1957, 1962), 4 home run titles (37 in 1955, 52 in 1956, 42 in 1958, 1960). 40 years) was achieved. Mantle was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974.
