“Moon Jae-in needs to be killed” ‥Candidate Young-seok Yoon is accused of harsh words toward former President Moon

As the election campaign nears its end, the candidates’ comments are becoming harsher. People Power Party candidate Yoon Young-seok, who is running for the Yangsan Gap constituency in South Gyeongsang Province, where former President Moon Jae-in’s sister-in-law is located, is causing a stir by making blatant remarks targeting former President Moon.

The Democratic Party called for Candidate Yoon’s resignation, and Candidate Yoon’s side said that it was not what former President Moon himself told them to hear.

The Democratic Party of Korea immediately protested.

The Gyeongnam Provincial Party of the Democratic Party held an emergency press conference at Yangsan City Hall and called for the resignation of candidate Yoon Young-seok.

He raised his voice, saying, “Admit your mistake for insulting the former president and making remarks that are at the level of a teacher’s murderer, and resign.”

“Candidate Yoon must fully admit his wrongdoing in insulting and inciting murder against his former president and ask for forgiveness from former President Moon and the entire nation.”

In response to this, candidate Yoon Young-seok’s side admitted the truth of the statement through his personal SNS, saying, “It was not a statement that former President Moon Jae-in asked me to hear directly.”

He also added, “I hope that the remarks made in Pyeongsan Village will be heard as the voice of the people, and there was never any intention to threaten or harm former President Moon Jae-in.”
