NCsoft (hereinafter referred to as NC) is transforming its image by introducing casual games of various genres.

NC announced on the 27th that it plans to continuously release new games to the market that have low barriers to entry and are easy for anyone to enjoy, such as puzzle, action fighting and collectible role-playing games. User reactions to NC’s casual game, which features cute characters and light gameplay, are also positive.

NC announced the beginning of the change last year by launching the casual puzzle game “PUZZUP AMITOI (hereinafter referred to as Puzz Up)”. Puzz Up received favorable reviews from users for adding a “direction key” element that can change the direction of blocks to the 3-match puzzle game.

Now in its second year of release, it continues to receive positive responses through continuous content updates and various collaboration events.

PuzzUp regularly adds not only updates on puzzle stages that can be played alone, but also clan content that can be enjoyed together. New content called “Submission Battle” was introduced on the 22nd, where you team up with clan members to defeat bosses and compete for rankings with other clans.

The recent collaboration event held with NC Dinos received great response from baseball fans. Fuzz Up is popular among baseball fans because it is easy to enjoy during relatively long baseball games and also provides an offline mode.

NC’s challenge to the casual genre continues with the brawler-style combat action “Battle Crush.” Battle Crush is a game where you fight with the goal of being the last person standing among enemies and terrain that shrinks over time. Features include △ease of operation, strategic combat action using terrain and features, △unique battlefields and various game modes that can be enjoyed by up to 30 people, and △characters with unique character-based action abilities of mythology.

Battle Crush was beta tested for about a week last March before its global launch in the first half of the year. Users who participated in the actual test showed various reactions, such as “I continue to play it because it is easy and fun”, “Compared to the last test, many things have improved” and “The game itself is simply fun”.

In particular, the following were positively rated: △casual gameplay with easy operating difficulty △fast pace of gameplay △fun elements faithful to the combat action genre △reasonable BM focused on battle passage △cute and unique art style.

NC’s efforts to transform its image continue. Starting from casual games, new genres such as collectible role-playing games and MMORTS are developed for the global market. NC plans to appear to global users with a changed appearance through new works in a variety of genres.
