An exciting London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham tonight in the Premier League

League Plus – Chelsea will host Tottenham today, Thursday, at Stamford Bridge, in the London derby, in a postponed match from the twenty-sixth round of the English Premier League.

Chelsea occupies ninth place in the English Premier League table, with 48 points.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is in fifth place in the Premier League table with 60 points, behind Aston Villa in fourth place with 67 points, but the Spurs have 5 matches remaining compared to 3 matches for the Villans.

The first round match between the two teams at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ended with Chelsea winning 4-1.

The Chelsea team, led by Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, is seeking to restore the winning tone, in an attempt to improve its position in the English Premier League table, taking advantage of the ground and crowd factors.

On the other hand, the Tottenham Hotspur team, led by Australian coach Ange Postecoglou, wants to achieve a positive result in today’s match and obtain three points as well, in an attempt to approach the semi-finals again, or maintain its qualifying position for the European League for the new season.

Chelsea will try to hold on to its hopes of being among the qualifying positions for the continental competitions next season, as it is 6 points behind Manchester United, who is in sixth place and qualifies for the Conference League Championship.

Tottenham is missing the efforts of its striker Timo Werner in the Chelsea match, after it was confirmed that he will be absent from the team for the end of the season due to a hamstring injury.

While Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the absence of duo Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi from facing Tottenham due to injury.
