News Anchor Faints on Live Broadcast Due to Extreme Heat Wave in India

The extremely hot weather in India has caused even news anchors in air-conditioned studios to faint during live broadcasts.

Parts of Central Asia are currently experiencing a heat wave which has seen temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius in many areas. Including in the Indian state of West Bengal. He asked how hot it is to the point where news anchors can faint in the middle of a live broadcast.

The incident happened on April 18 when Lopamudra Singha, a female news anchor for DD Bangla channel, was hosting a live morning news show in a studio in Kolkata eye While the weather outside was around 40 degrees Celsius.

While reporting on the heat wave, she suddenly lost consciousness and leaned back in her chair. Causing the team to rush in to check the symptoms. And it is believed that the heat caused her blood pressure to drop.

Later after the incident Singha posted a video on her personal Facebook page describing what happened that day. He said, “It was very hot that day. My blood pressure level dropped I felt bad even before I lost consciousness. I thought drinking water would help so I asked the staff to bring it to me.”

Even the studio has air conditioning. But due to the hot weather on that day even the air conditioner could not handle it. Also, she doesn’t usually put water on the table to read the news. This is because she only has to read the news for short periods of 30 minutes and can usually do so without a sip of water.

“But that day, most of the news had no pictures. If there is an illustration I might be able to find a moment to sip water,” Singha said.

He said his symptoms started to get worse, especially when he read about the heat wave. It gradually became a blur as she tried to tolerate the broadcast. “My words became slurred. And finally I saw that the news display had disappeared.”
