Updated June 18, 2025
Bravo’s “Next gen NYC” continues to deliver drama as cast members navigate personal and interpersonal challenges. This week, charlie found himself in hot water after his behavior at an event sparked conflict with Riley.
The tension arose after Charlie seemingly dismissed Riley in favor of other women. During a cast trip to New Jersey for Gia’s pool party, Riley confronted Charlie about his actions. she explained that she felt his behavior played into a stereotype of her being intimidating to white women, a stereotype she faces regularly. Ava supported riley during the arduous conversation.
While charlie apologized, his sincerity was short-lived. He confided in Georgia that he wasn’t truly sorry and was only trying to appease Riley. This data quickly made its way back to Riley, leading to another confrontation. Charlie, seemingly unable to grasp the gravity of the situation, ultimately fled the party.
Meanwhile, Seth Marks, Brooks’ father, took an unexpected interest in Charlie. Concerned that Charlie lacked a paternal figure, Seth initiated a one-on-one meeting. Despite the unusual circumstances, the two bonded, with Charlie opening up about his roommate’s sexuality, a topic that fascinated Seth.
Earlier, Brooks received a sewing lesson from Shai, an agent’s assistant who shares brooks’ passion for design. The cast then traveled to New Jersey for a party hosted by Gia, daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice. Teresa even made a cameo via FaceTime, expressing concern about pizza readiness.
“I try not to make it a thing, but I hate when you guys try to play this, like, I’m scary or like I’m scaring random white girls. It’s just so annoying, especially as it’s a real thing I have to go thru every day,” Riley said.
