Nintendo launches “Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition,” a collection of time-defying games from the Famicom era. Ready to release on Nintendo Switch on July 18th.
“Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition” is a simulation game inspired by the Nintendo World Championships. An official Nintendo gaming tournament held in North America in the 1990s using the Nintendo Entertainment System or Famicom. Players will pretend to be racers as they compete to record the fastest times in popular games from the Famicom era.
Within the game there will be competition categories divided according to 13 Nintendo games, such as “Super Mario Bros.”, “The Legend of Zelda”, “Donky Kong”, “Metroid”, “Kirby”, etc., for a total of more than 150. Stages can be played by up to 8 people at the same time, including online support, recording statistics and competing with many players from around the world.
