Kochi: Roy Vayalat, owner of No18 Hotel POCSO Case, has surrendered in the Pokso case. He surrendered at the office of the Kochi City Assistant Commissioner of Police. Roy Vayalat arrived at the Mattancherry Assistant Commissioner’s Office with his lawyer and relatives. The second accused Saiju Thankachan may also surrender to the office of the Assistant Commissioner. Roy Violet, who surrendered, is being questioned by Crime Branch DySP BG George. Roy Violet’s lawyer said Roy had a health problem.

The surrender came after the apex court rejected the anticipatory bail pleas of Roy Vayalat and co-accused Shaiju Thankachan. Kochi police have registered a poxo case against Roy Vayalat and others on the complaint of a mother and her minor daughter from Wayanad. A minor girl from Wayanad was taken to a hotel and tried to rape her. Roy Vayalat and Saiju Thankachan are accused in the accident in which former Miss Kerala and others died in a car accident in Kochi.

The High Court had granted bail to Anjali Rima Dev, the third accused in the case. It is alleged that Anjali Rima Dev conspired with the other two accused to seduce the girl who had gone to the hotel with her mother. However, the defendants told the court that the complaint was based on a financial dispute with the girl’s mother.

The main allegation is that Roy Vayalat and his gang tried to molest him and his daughter. The complainants testified that they escaped when they realized that the trap was prepared. The investigation team recorded the confession of a minor girl in the case.

Roy Violet, who was arrested in connection with the accidental death of the models, was earlier released on bail. Meanwhile, the new case. Police said there was some evidence that Roy Violet had abused other girls in a similar way and that more complaints were expected.
