On the second day of the Lunar New Year holiday of Giap Thin (February 9), authorities across the country handled 3,428 cases of alcohol violations and 1,910 cases of speeding violations.
The National Traffic Safety Committee said that on the 30th day of Tet, there were 71 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 30 people and injuring 55 people. Compared to February 8, there were 8 fewer traffic accidents, 3 fewer deaths, and 18 fewer injuries.
Traffic police (GTCS) of local police have inspected, detected and handled 8,640 violations; Fine of 21 billion 292 million VND.
Authorities also impounded 154 cars, 3,983 motorbikes and 16 other vehicles; stripped of 2,044 driving licenses of all types. Of these, 3,428 cases were handled for alcohol violations, 1,910 cases for speed violations, and 17 cases related to drug use.
