Onam Celebrations in Sharjah by Chittar Pravasi Society
Sharjah: The highly anticipated Onam celebrations organized by the Chittar Pravasi Society are scheduled to take place on October 1. Dr. EP Johnson, the former President of the Indian Society in Sharjah, will be leading the event.
The dedicated team responsible for the event includes General Convener Noble Karutupara, Chairman Manu Kulatungal, Treasurer Ratheesh Kochuveetil, Vice President Shaji Koothadiparampil, Anu Soju, David C. George, Simi Liju, Rijo Churathalaikkal, Shibu Thalikalinkil, Praveen Thekkekkara, Ambilikuttan, and Tito.
The cultural conference will be inaugurated by KU Janish Kumar MLA, a prominent figure in the community. The Onam festivities will feature a range of exciting activities such as Chendamelam, Attapukalam, a vibrant procession, diverse art performances for children, a thrilling tug-of-war competition, a grand cultural gathering, Onasadya (traditional feast), and a song mela.
