In connection with the Gwangju I-Park construction accident, which occurred when the outer walls of 16 floors collapsed at once, circumstances have emerged that raise suspicion of poor construction. In this apartment construction work log, there is a record that curing (protection and management until the concrete is completely hardened) was completed in 6-7 days.

On the 15th, the pouring work log for Hwajeong I-Park 201, Seo-gu, Gwangju, released on the 15th, stated that concrete was poured on the 35th floor on the 3rd of last month.

The day the 36th floor was raised was the 10th of last month, and pouring took place in 7 days. In addition, the floors on the 37th and 38th floors were poured in 6 and 7 days, respectively, and the ceiling on the 38th floor was poured in 8 days. On December 31st, the PIT layer wall, a slab installed on the highest floor, was poured for the purpose of moisture-proof, heat-dissipation and pollution-proof. 11 days later, an accident occurred while pouring the slab (floor) on the 39th floor.

This is different from the explanation of HDC Hyundai Industrial Development, the construction company, that “it went through a sufficient curing period for 12 to 18 days”.

Experts point out that there are variables such as cement type and curing temperature, but the curing period is short and sufficient strength may not be obtained. It is analyzed that the collapse occurred because it could not withstand the load.

Meanwhile, the accident occurred around 3:46 pm on the 11th when the outer walls from the 23rd to 38th floors of the 201 building under construction collapsed.
