OpenAI Surpasses $10 Billion in Revenue Amidst Rapid ChatGPT Growth

OpenAI, the company behind the popular ChatGPT chatbot, has reached $10 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) less than three years after ChatGPT’s launch. This surge in revenue is attributed to its diverse offerings, including consumer products, ChatGPT business solutions, and its application programming interface (API).
An OpenAI spokesperson confirmed that the figure excludes licensing revenue from Microsoft and other substantial one-time agreements. Last year, OpenAI’s ARR was approximately $5.5 billion.however, this rapid expansion comes at a cost; the San Francisco-based startup reported losses of around $5 billion last year.
