Oracle announced Friday that George Conrades and Michael Lawson, both directors with decades of service, have resigned from the company’s board. Both directors are in their eighties.
George Conrades served as a director of Oracle as 1999. He previously held the role of chairman and CEO of akamai Technologies from 2000 to 2005. In 2004, conrades participated in a meeting of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, addressing cybersecurity concerns.
Michael Lawson has been a director at Oracle sence 2000. He is the founder of Lawson Software,a company specializing in human capital management and enterprise resource planning software. Lawson stepped down as CEO of Lawson Software in September 2010.
The resignations are effective instantly, according to Oracle. The company did not disclose the reasons for the departures.
