Oru Sarkar Uthpanam: A Timely Film on Population Control

television Ranjith’s latest film is a government product.

This was the film that was discussed even before its release. The title of the film was originally decided as a Bharata Sarkar product. The film got a lot of attention because the censor board demanded to cut the title of the film Bharatam. The contention of the board of censors was that if the name is not changed, the permission will not be given. Anyway, the movie has hit theaters today.

The story takes place in Achamthuru where the Meenootikavilamma temple is located, where many childless couples pray. But the hero of the story is Pradeepan, who lives a happy family with his wife and four children in the same country. The country’s population is increasing exponentially. Many countries use different methods of population control. Achamturut Panchayat plans to implement such a project.

Pradeep and his wife Shyama are preparing for a fifth baby girl who retain their love for their wife even after years of marriage. But the panchayat male sterilization project is being implemented without any problems. The film then discusses the problems faced by Pradeep and his family.

The film presents a subject that definitely needs to be talked about with a touch of comedy without losing its intensity.

The film, which is about family ties, friendship and love, is also full of actors. Subish Sudhi, who has been a part of Malayalam cinema for many years, plays the lead character Pradeep in the film. After her role as Usha in Minnal Murali, Shelley’s role as Shyama is very good.

It was Gauri who became Ashavarkar. G. Kishan, Vineeth Vasudevan, Aju Varghese, Lal Jose and many other characters have acted in the film. The film speaks strongly about the daily life of Asha workers and their health work, which has not been talked about much in Malayalam cinema.

The crew has prepared the technical aspects as required by the film. Ajmal Hasbullah’s music and Ansar Shah’s camera eyes have been combined in the right way by Jitin’s editing.
A few negatives in the film were some of the jokes that were lost and the performance of some of the actors. Even if the minor drag in the second half is kept aside, the film is a product that the audience can enjoy.

Nizam Rauthar, the screenwriter of the film, passed away the other day. He has definitely chosen an admirable performance for the film. India overtook China in terms of population last year, according to new figures from the United Nations. With India becoming the most populous country, the government production certainly becomes a timely film adaptation.
