Yoon Yeo-jeong will once again meet with viewers around the world through Apple’s original series ‘Pachinko’, which will be released on the 25th. ‘Pachinko’, which warmly captures a large-scale narrative, is a story that begins with forbidden love, and draws an unforgettable chronicle of war and peace, love and parting, victory and judgment, traveling back and forth between Korea, Japan, and the United States.

Yoon Yeo-jeong takes on the role of Seon-ja, a strong woman who does not give in to any adversity in the play. Set in Korea in the early 1900s, the story unfolds from the perspective of a ‘sunja’, and Yun Yeo-jeong leads her play into the ‘seonja’ of her old age.

Yoon Yeo-jeong said, “I didn’t have a chance to meet the young Seon-ja because I played the old Seon-ja. She met her for the first time recently, though she had been away for a while after filming was over. We’ve never met because we’re one person, but we feel a bond,” she said.

Director Kogonada said about Yoon Yeo-jeong, “I was impressed with every scene I did with her. She showed her delicate and deep acting in every scene, and it seemed to resemble her Korean history and film life. She admired and surprised every moment.” Yoon Yeo-jeong responded humbly, saying, “It’s because I’m old.”

Based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same name, ‘Pachinko’, a delicate and warm story about the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family, will be released to the world through Apple TV+. The series consists of a total of 8 episodes, starting with the release of three episodes on the 25th, and releasing one episode every Friday until April 29th.
