The beloved city-building game, Cities: Skylines II, is about to get even better with new content for mayors to enjoy. Publisher Paradox Interactive has recently unveiled plans to release 8 free DLC regional map expansion packs.

In an official video announcement, Paradox Interactive revealed that the upcoming DLC will introduce players to a range of new locations, including China, Eastern Europe, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and both the East and West Coasts of the United States. These expansions will bring over 2,500 new components to the game, all completely free of charge.

“We have partnered with renowned content creators such as Titan, bsquicklehousen, Darf, RichardShi, MacWelshman, Badi_Dea, Feindbold, and Gurny to bring you these 8 incredible map packs,” stated the publisher. The DLCs are set to be available on Paradox’s platform soon, adding to the game’s existing modding community.

Cities: Skylines II initially received mixed reviews on Steam, as it didn’t live up to some players’ expectations upon release. However, the game still managed to captivate a large fanbase.
