Attorney Jong-eon Noh of S Law Firm, who acted as legal representative for Park Soo-hong, said in an official statement on the 3rd, “Park Soo-hong violated the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection on August 3, 2021 (defamation), insults, obstruction of business, and coercion. We have submitted a complaint to the police against YouTuber Yong-ho Kim and unidentified informants who gave false information to him on charges of such crimes.”
He explained the reason for taking legal action, saying, “(YouTuber Kim’s) claims are beyond tolerable.”
Park Soo-hong’s side said, “(YouTuber Kim) defamed and insulted Park Soo-hong and his family by unilaterally claiming unconfirmed false information several times through his YouTube channel. Kim’s allegation is not only unfounded, but neither contacted Park Soo-hong’s side to confirm the facts nor made the least effort to reflect Park Soo-hong’s opinion.”
Regarding the fact that he has not responded to the controversy in the meantime, he explained, “I thought that the growing controversy surrounding him was the target that the people who raised the suspicion wanted, and I was worried that the essence of the alleged embezzlement of the real couple would be damaged.” .
Park Soo-hong’s side said that they plan to file a civil lawsuit by first filing a criminal complaint against YouTuber Kim and the whistleblowers, then determining the extent of the damage. He added that some media outlets that spread false information without a minimum verification process are also considering criminal action, including filing a complaint with the Media Arbitration Committee.
Earlier, YouTuber Kim raised various suspicions, including suspicion of Park Soo-hong’s dating violence, saying that she had been informed by a person who claimed to be Park Soo-hong’s ex-girlfriend.

2. Kim Yong-ho defamed and insulted Park Soo-hong and his family by unilaterally claiming unconfirmed false facts through his YouTube channel several times. Kim Yong-ho’s allegations are not only unfounded, but neither contacted Park Soo-hong’s side to confirm the facts nor made the least effort to reflect Park Soo-hong’s opinion.
3. In the meantime, Park Soo-hong has not taken any special action, considering that the growing controversy surrounding him is their goal. We were also concerned that the essence of the embezzlement allegations of Park Jin-hong, Park Jin-hong, Park Soo-hong’s older brother, and his spouse, which is currently ongoing, would be undermined. However, Kim Yong-ho’s claims went beyond tolerable levels, and this started to cause great damage to Park Soo-hong’s broadcasting and entertainment activities. Accordingly, Park Soo-hong decided that he could no longer condone the actions of YouTuber Yong-ho Kim and the unidentified informants, so he plans to file a criminal complaint first, and then proceed with a civil lawsuit after determining the extent of the damage in the future.
4. Park Soo-hong has already secured enough data to prove the false claims of Kim Yong-ho and the informants. We will submit to the police all documents from state agencies and accredited organizations that prove that his claims are clearly false and put them to trial.
5. In addition, we plan to take legal action in the future against media that mass-produce rumors without a minimum verification process after watching Kim Yong-ho’s YouTube channel. In the process of disseminating unconfirmed false facts, these media did not make any effort to check the facts, nor did they guarantee Park Soo-hong’s right to object. Accordingly, we are considering criminal action, including filing a complaint with the Media Arbitration Committee. In the future, when publishing such unfounded claims by Kim Yong-ho, we ask that you provide evidence to prove it, guarantee Park Soo-hong’s right to object, and refrain from reporting that copy Kim Yong-ho’s false allegations without confirmation.
